DIY Balloon Decorations for Easter

Easter is coming up this week! How are you celebrating Easter in style this year? Do you plan to go all out for your décor or keep it subtle? Either way, we have three adorable (no helium needed) DIY balloon ideas that you must create for your Easter party.  We love how you can simply transform a latex balloon to something totally unique. Check out these ideas below!

1.   Bunny, Chick, & Carrot Friends – What are the first things that come to mind when you think about Easter? Perhaps it’s bunnies, chicks, and carrots?! Use 5” latex balloons to create these cuties below! All other supplies you need are glue, colored paper, and a pair of scissors to cut out the shapes. Make sure not to use too much glue or else the paper can get soggy. Display this cute trio in a basket or put them on your Easter table. Kids will love these at parties!

2.     Painted Egg Balloon – Latex balloons already have a natural egg shape which makes this DIY perfect for the Easter holiday. Grab some paint and a brush! Paint balloons with Easter designs – zig zags, lines, flowers, polka-dots, chevron. These are fun to add to your balloon garlands, bouquets, columns, tabletops, and more. This DIY could also be a fun Easter activity for friends, family, and kids.

3.     Bunny HOP balloons – Who doesn’t love bunny ears?! This DIY is for anyone obsessed with bunnies. Choose the paper color of your choice and cut out bunny shaped ears. As for the letters, you can use letter stickers or cut them out of paper like we did below. Glue the ears and letters on the balloon with Elmer’s glue. If you’d like, you can even punch small holes at the top of the bunny ears and pull a string through the holes to make this a hanging garland!

At the DIY Corner, we’re all about simple, fun, and creative balloon and party décor ideas. Will you be recreating any of these DIY ideas we shared with you in this blog? Let us know by tagging us on Instagram @Mayflower_Party. Have a very hoppy Easter!
